Travelling by bus and metro in Rennes

Public transport

Save time in Rennes by taking the bus and metro. By metro, you can cross the city centre from the railway station to the Place Sainte-Anne in just 3 minutes, even in rush hour, using the same network and ticket. The STAR public transport network, which was awarded NF Service certification in 2004, consists of one metro line (15 stations) and 149 bus routes that serve the 43 municipalities that form the Rennes Metropolitan District.

You can cross Rennes quickly on metro line A

Its 15 stations are located near the city’s key locations. A second metro line (Line B) is currently being built. It will enable an even more regular service to the various districts and reach strategic areas such as Beaulieu and La Courrouze.
