Breton Cuisine
The Breton capital is best-known for its traditional savoury galettes (buckwheat pancakes) and sweet crêpes. These Breton specialities are all over the place in Rennes, and it can be difficult figuring out which eatery is most worth a visit. There are over 30 different crêperies in the city centre alone. No stay in Brittany is complete without a crêpe, that’s for sure. And to leave without trying Rennes’ sausage galette speciality would be nothing short of a crime.
