The Blue Green Golf course in Rennes – Saint-Jacques
South-west Rennes is home to the largest golf complex in Brittany. The region’s historic golf course is known for its 18-hole course (6135 m – par 72) built for the championship. Speed and tactics are required for holes with very different profiles, sometimes long and open, sometimes much narrower. Two additional 9-hole courses allow players of all levels to test their skills on a beautifully maintained site. Coming by plane? Rennes Saint-Jacques Airport is close to the golf course.

The Freslonnière golf course – Le Rheu
This prestigious hotel complex, nestled in a vast 140-hectare park at the Chateau Freslonnière has been in the same family for 800 years. The 18 holes (5650 m – par 72) golf course has been open for twenty years, and passes through the heart of the forest. The sporting course slaloms among ancient trees and rhododendrons, sheltered from the wind. Water hazards are hidden all around. Accuracy is required: time is needed to think about strokes to refine approaches.
Beginners be reassured. Freslonnière Golf course also has a natural practice 6-hole course. It is ideal for beginners and to have fun outdoors on shorter holes without ponds. Equipment is provided. Just bring your shoes!

Domain de Cice-Blossac – Bruz
Completely redesigned in 2010, the 18-hole Cice-Blossac course is in a luxury hotel complex with high quality facilities (Chic bistro, lounge bar, spa and much more).
Located between the lakes of the Vilaine valley, the course opens into large spaces and generously proportioned greens from the fairways both long, broad and wavy. This gives it its sweet fragrance of American golf courses.
Embellished with water features at several holes, the Cice-Blossac golf course is the Rennes location most suited for hosting professional tournaments. Golfers who like to play hard and far will be satiated.
The most aquatic
Cesson golf course – Cesson-Sévigné
Built on the banks of the Vilaine, the Cesson golf course is based on water. This implies a certain level of play. Two of the course’s nine holes are placed on a peninsula. The tone is set right from the beginning: with the most difficult hole. Challenging, the course strings water obstacles one after the other – river and ponds – with narrow fairways and often tight corners. A partially covered and floodlit driving range can help get your feet before beginning.
Cesson golf course is the only one located inside the Rennes ring road. No car? A bus goes directly from the city centre.
The most Modern
Cap Malo golf course – Melesse
Opened in 2009, this family golf course north of Rennes has attracted athletes with its verdant botanical decour. Its remarkably designed 9-hole course (2 028m – par 31) does not present any major difficulties. That leaves plenty of room to enjoy the hilly landscape, landscaped according to different atmospheres. The course has lakes, a waterfall, hedgerows and more than 1200 trees over 21 hectares of greenery. Designed more like a “Golf Garden”, the course is embellished with many varieties of flowers in summer.
Complete with a tasteful contemporary bar and restaurant, the golf course also has a superb indoor practice area and pitching green, putting green as well as many targets
