1. Tipi
The shop of a thousand wonders

The unmissable Made in Bretagne independent boutique. Founded in April 2014 by five women from Rennes, the Tipi shop stocks wonders made by dozens of different creators all under the same roof. They are here in turn to greet shoppers and suggest items that are unique or made in small batch series in Rennes or Brittany – it’s great! Aimed at women, children and the home, you will certainly fall for creations by brands such as C Fée Nature, Les Jolis Mômes, Demisel, C’est pas l’usine, Orvilette, Saülh, Atelier Pica, Phéeline, La Mousse Tache, Ohëpo, Llak, Claire la Paillette, L’Indiscrète, in addition to other designers who are invited throughout the year. Recently renovated as a concept shop, the boutique is a projection of their personalities. This space is their Tipi and you are always welcome!

2. Kaleïdo Store
The unique boutique where all styles collide

From visual creations to jewellery, accessories, clothes and decorative pieces, this is the place to find beautiful treasures that are individual in design, style and materials, while still both original and complementary. This is the Kaleïdo Store’s world: there are no style rules and everything is mixed together in a small, bright and trendy shop that fits perfectly into the ambience of the charming, cobbled rue Saint-Georges.
Six designers share the premises to offer their creations, which range from decorative items to ready-to-wear pieces to visuals on graphic design and art: Samuel (Samuel Haumont), Cléophée (Phéeline), Lubna (LLAK), Mélanie (14h14.com), Morgane (Fata Mangrova), Léa (Wallüa). Not one to be missed!

3. Bella Ciao
A Rennes boutique with an Italian accent

Maria Dal Fabbro, originally from Italy, opened her boutique-workshop “Bella Ciao” in October 2012 to share her universe and its creations. Located in the centre of Rennes, this colourful and quirky shop is primarily the manager’s workshop-gallery. Having trained as a jeweller, Maria works with silver and gold on site, designing and making her own jewellery as unique pieces. Her sense of adventure means that she is open to any project and can also design wedding rings for your big day if you wish! In addition, she also stocks products by artisans from Brittany and the rest of France. High-quality materials take pride of place: ceramics in the ultra-fashionable jewellery by LMK, leather bags by AFD, colourful cushions by Les Idées De Berthe, earrings by glass artist Alexis Ferron, ceramics by Elise Ducange and many more! 4. Stories
The stylish shop created by a marvellous designer

Wanted Gina set down her cases in Rennes, Brittany’s capital, to establish her own brand. At Stories, you find both a boutique workshop and pieces for women created by multiple designers, including ready-to wear items and jewellery. The brand’s designer uses her considerable talent to unveil trends with a personal and refined touch. The lovely boutique is situated in the city centre next to the famous Rue le Bastard, the centre’s main shopping street. Wanted Gina is waiting impatiently for you to come by for a chat and for you to discover the new collection!

5. Chouette
The shop with firm values

Approximately 40 artisans are gathered under the roof of Chouette, a pretty little boutique located on the lovely Rue du Chapitre. From its authentic windows, it attracts attention with its striking creations and colours: decorative pieces, jewellery, clothes and accessories for women and children. Here, you can find creations that are unique or made with care in small batches, as limited editions by their artisans and that are ethical! Prioritising craftsmanship and the environment are important factors that are the soul of projects and creations. A warm welcome and bespoke recommendations await. What’s more, the boutique also hosts events, DIY workshops and exhibitions every month.

6. La Supérette
The minimart boutique unlike any other!

Anna Elleouet, Loulataï, Mina Lou and Marcel Bonnetet run La Supérette, a charming little city-centre boutique not far from the Parlement of Brittany. The four creators of jewellery and accessories show you their world through their original creations, unique to each of them. These creations are imbued with personality and curiosity in the materials, colours, patterns and details. A vibrant range at excellent prices!

7. Nij
A shop where you will be overcome with delight

Nij, meaning “flight” in Breton, is a boutique set up by a collective of Rennes artisans. Now open for three years, the shop stocks decorative pieces, jewellery, accessories, etc. There is something for everyone, for all ages and all tastes! Launched based on an idea by Nadine (Un amour d’Ysanelle) and Julie (Capucine & Co), this boutique, filled with beautiful creations, is growing every day. This association of creators now brings together 25 passionate artisans and stocks items that are unique or made in small batches: Capucine and co, Un amour d’Ysanelle, Zarouet, Vlam, Sophia Bebin, Atomyser, Liliboy, Subconcious, Saute montagne, Kiwaz et Minus, Zenel, Stéphanie Arçay, kajou, Aline Dudziak, Perren et cie, Enilope and Morgane Chouin, etc. Around 10 artisans also display their creations here temporarily. 8. Richad Kala
A thoughtful boutique-workshop that uses high-quality and sophisticated materials

You can find Richad Kala’s boutique-workshop in a bright and pleasant environment. Self-taught and passionate, this artisan produces sophisticated jewellery made from silver or gold or sometimes with stones. These pieces are one-of-a-kind or are made in a limited series. The designs are based on simplicity and delicateness. Working in his boutique-workshop, Richad is naturally curious and takes inspiration from the outside world, particularly Japanese arts, to fuel his creativity and to find a balance between shape and content, the purity of elements and the subtlety of meaning.

9. Octobre Noir
The unmissable street boutique

Creator Nills Bert established the Rennes boutique Octobre Noir in 2014. The ready-to-wear items stocked here that are simultaneously streetwear and casual chic reflect the brand and the boutique. From sweatpants to trousers via headwear, the creations are influenced by an urban, avant-garde and refined style. All are made largely in France and Portugal, in very limited editions. The unisex collections are renewed regularly and organised in numbered seasons. As it is always innovative, the Octobre Noir shop also offers a grillz (dental jewellery) service and custom jewellery, as well as a Resell corner in which you can find brands exclusive to Rennes, such as Supreme, Off-White, Yeezy, Bape, etc. The brand is strongly rooted in urban culture and collaborates with many local and national artists, such as Joke, Nekfeu and even Slimka. Octobre Noir is an essential address in Rennes for streetwear.

10. C Fée Nature
Children’s clothes made in the land of fairies

The C Fée Nature adventure started in 2009 with the goal of putting a little magic into clothes for children. Since 2016, the shop has been situated on rue de Penhoët, leading to Place Sainte-Anne, and offers pieces for children by prioritising “the softness of silk, the warmth of wool, the lightness of linen and the comfort of cotton”. The unique creations are made and designed exclusively in Brittany, the “land of fairies”. Every week, new items are made available to customers, who also have the option of looking through and ordering the clothes via the online shop.
