Museum of Brittany

Brittany is a region of two halves, with its coastal “Armor” and inland “Argoat” areas.

The Brittany Museum in the Champs Libres reveals some of the secrets of the region’s fascinating heritage and culture. This is one of France’s top museums in the areas of ethnology, photography, history, archaeology and decorative arts, with an impressive collection of 2,300 pieces including tools and costumes, a Merovingian sarcophagus and a gold coin featuring Anne of Brittany.

The major milestones in the region’s history are presented through the lens of the daily life of Brittany’s inhabitants, offering a glimpse of the customs and traditions of this colourful region.
